Deadline Diva

I have been Mrs Just in Time for most of this month. I have been working to deadlines both at home and at work. There has been very little forward planning and therefore a lot of stress as I work like mad to ensure that things are done on time…doesn’t always work, some things, like Lunchclub today manage to slip off the “to do list” – thank heavens for grandma’s otherwise Spider would have gone hungry.

The stress of these deadlines have been adding to a general feeling of being run down and tired – its no wonder that every little virus and germ that Spider has brought home has rampaged my system and brought me to my knees.

So you can imagine my joy when we realised this week that a rebate from the tax man has coincided with Husband having to use up some leave by the end of March.

We have booked a week off. We may not even go anywhere, apart from day trips as I’m not sure that I can cope with having to plan and pack and get to somewhere else by a set time – but I am looking forward to not commuting and not having to do things. You never know I may find time to plan the rest of my things on the “to do list” so that I am no longer scraping along by the skin of my teeth and getting things finished with minutes to spare…
